Employers

Do you need a temporary crew member or a replacement for an existing employee? Multicrew helps you find the right match. We provide relief crew for a few days, weeks, or even months. We also offer permanent crew who, if satisfied, can remain on board for several years. Every relief crew member is safely brought on board with the proper safety equipment and collected again when their assignment ends. If you need someone, contact us and we will find the right match.

Trainee Deckhand

Multicrew provides trainee deckhands with an official “trainee deckhand” stamp from SAB. These trainees undergo training through Edumar and are eligible to take their exam after 90 days at sea. We primarily offer Filipino trainee sailors, who work according to a schedule of 4 months on / 2 months off or 6 months on / 3 months off. The schedule can be adjusted in consultation with the employer to match the vessel’s planning. The full program is available to employers, including guidance and support during training and on-board work, allowing trainees to develop in a professional and safe environment while adding immediate value to your vessel.

Deckhand

Multicrew provides sailors for both short assignments of a few days and long-term replacements. Short assignments are ideal when a crew member is sick or temporarily unavailable, while long-term replacements are used when a sailor has left the vessel and a reliable successor is needed. We can provide sailors with the desired nationality, allowing you to select crew that best fits your vessel’s requirements. Thanks to our extensive network, we can offer sailors from various nationalities, including Polish, Romanian, and Filipino. We also provide sailors for permanent positions, taking full responsibility for crew management so you can focus on other operational matters. Multicrew guarantees reliable, experienced, and flexible crew ready for immediate deployment.

Mate

Experienced mates with the official designation “Deck Officer” are available for various sailing tasks, from short-term relief assignments to longer periods on board. They have obtained the deck officer qualification by completing the deckhand training combined with accumulated sailing experience, or through full accumulation of the required sailing time. Our deck officers have a wide range of experience, including tanker, dry cargo, and push barge operations.

Captain

Experienced captains are available for various sailing areas and assignments. These crew members have experience in the ARA region and hold the necessary documents. We provide captains with a Rhine patent for different areas, including required certificates such as ADN documents for tank vessels. Our captains also have experience in push barge operations, Rhine navigation, and other specialized types of navigation. Deployment is flexible, from short relief assignments to longer periods on board.

Painters

For vessels going to a shipyard in the Netherlands for classification or repairs, Multicrew can provide experienced painters. Often, these are Filipino deck officers looking to earn extra income in their free time. These painters are skilled in ship painting, so you don’t have to worry about a thing.
